Anatomia is a new series of artwork that will be exhibited in a solo-exhibition in NYC in June 2013. The focus of this show is to discuss the vulnerabilities of the human body and our relationship to others. The intent for this work stems from research on the role of the caregiver as well as personal experiences with illness. The exhibition will explore this concept through a variety of imagery and media.  Several pieces will explore ancient techniques paired with contemporary imagery while others rely on contemporary investigations of material and form. The UROP student will learn skills in ancient mosaic techniques, enameling and fiber arts.
