This study is designed to determine the relative improvement in precision of patient and tumor positioning through the integrated use of imaging systems, image alignment tools, and computer-controlled positioning tables.  By integrating previously demonstrated components with potential for improved benefit, a test system will be developed and used for clinical trials against current standards of practice.

 

Student Tasks and Responsibilities: The student will learn aspects of systems development, documentation, and scientific study design.  Their primary role will be to assist in software development to move the testbed platform from a unix/v, environment to a Windows NT platform.
