Street Theater Art Project

The project strives to make innovative, public art accessible to everyone. Through the creation of FestiFools, an annual April Fools-inspired street art event involving larger-than-life handmade pieces created by U-M students and community members, START hopes to bring people together across boundaries to express themselves in creative ways, and to work together to create unique, three-dimensional art. By carrying out the raw research of making art and learning new and different visual and performing art techniques from around the world, START plans to improve and grow its ability to bring art to all populations throughout the community.
